This is the tiny Timpson shop in Lytham that I use for keys, shoe repairs etc. I persuaded the owner to pose outside and took a photo so I could sketch it at home. I hope I caught how awkward he felt!

Pontins, Blackpool

What's left of the soon to be demolished Pontins holiday camp on the border between St. Annes and Blackpool.  It always reminded me of a prison camp. I'm not sure if the barbed wire was to keep people out or keep the holiday makers in?

Ice Cream Kiosk, New Station Cafe, St Annes

An evening sketch of an ice cream kiosk out of season on the promenade in St. Annes done from the car (until the traffic warden moved me on) and coloured at home. There are a couple of old railway carriages there that have been converted into a cafe and gift shop.
