Blackpool is famous for its "rock" which is a type of hard stick-shaped boiled sugar confectionery usually flavoured with peppermint or spearmint. Using a clever process they can put a name in the stick so that it runs all the way through it. This is not a self portrait! I hate the stuff :-(

Gaietys Karaoke Bar, Blackpool Promenade.
It's been a while since I posted anything as I've been busy with caricature gigs but I have plenty of ideas for sketching. I seem to be adding more and more detail which means everyone takes longer than the last. It's interesting to see how my style is evolving from my earlier images.

Balloon Modelling Cartoon
Random cartoon inspired by my face painting and balloon modelling mate, Kate Cox. An excuse to dust down my Cintiq too.

The Sandwich Shop, Lytham
A little while ago, a friend asked me to draw this butty shop, tucked away down a side alley off Lytham's main street, for sentimental reasons. Not the place where he had his first kiss or tasted a BLT but where he got beaten up in a fight in his youth. Ahh the memories.....

Arnold School, Blackpool
Ever since Arnold School announced it's intentions to merge with their local rivals, King Edward's and Queen Mary's School, down the Fylde Coast, I have intended to draw the place for posterity. I finally got round to it after friends also requested a picture.
I also nearly got a Saturday detention for taking a photo of the place during school hours when a teacher challenged me.

Queens Head, Chackmore
My first painting commission! OK, so it's for my brother of his local boozer but hey, you've got to start somewhere right? Thought I'd show the process from getting the pencil rough, inking in, watercolour and finally polishing up with colour pencils.

Digital Cartoon
This is my first digital post on here and as I've not done one for a while please let me apologise for the the quality! It was done on a Wacom Cintiq using Painter 12. Think I need to work on my humour too.
